YUCAIPA, California — November 4, 2026. In the Yucaipa Valley Water District board election for Division 2, Robert Cruse leads Nyles O’Harra by 73 votes in San Bernardino County’s election-night summary. The margin remains unofficial.
Reported division results
Cruse has 1,105 votes (51.68%) compared with O’Harra’s 1,032 (48.27%), with a single unresolved write-in vote. All 12 precincts in this division submitted election-night totals, though legally eligible ballots may still be reviewed and counted during the canvass.
Why the distinction matters
The water-district board is a separate local agency from Yucaipa City Council and Yucaipa–Calimesa Joint Unified School District. Different boundaries determine who could vote in each race. Water-board directors oversee utility policies, investments and public accountability affecting customers across their division.
Other city results
In Yucaipa City Council District 1, Chelsea Brammer Ramirez has 1,462 votes versus Greg Franklin’s 1,262; this municipal result should not be added to the water district’s tally. The county registrar, not election-night media, will certify the eventual result.

Although all precincts have reported election-night returns, valid mail, provisional and other ballots may still be processed. These are not certified results.
