YUCAIPA — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL. Yucaipa’s City Council has approved a $3.34 million pavement rehabilitation project to improve more than 15 asphalt road segments. The city says it budgeted more than $4.3 million for street maintenance and repaving overall during the current fiscal year.
What residents need to know
According to the city, the work is supported by state gas-tax revenue, local Measure I funds and the municipal General Fund. The announcement projected an early-October construction start and completion in November 2026, subject to the actual construction schedule.
Roadway resurfacing can require grinding, pavement replacement, re-striping and temporary access controls. The city summary does not identify specific current closure locations, so drivers should not assume all listed streets are closed at once.
Residents should consult official notices for segment-by-segment dates and traffic arrangements, particularly if they have school drop-offs, deliveries or mobility needs along a construction corridor.
The project announcement is a funding and schedule update, not proof that the entire scope has been finished. Later city completion reports will be needed to measure results and costs.
